MIRCERA – through its different receptor interaction and longer half-life – delivers sustained anaemia management.

MIRCERA is a continuous erythropoietin receptor activator with a different receptor-binding activity to other erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs). The reduced affinity of MIRCERA for the erythropoietin receptor allows continuous stimulation which achieves stable haemoglobin levels in the target range.1

 

MIRCERA has the longest half-life of all ESAs; six times longer than darbepoetin alfa intravenous (IV) and 27 times longer than epoetin alfa IV (see Figure).2–6 This extended half-life allows more frequent activation of erythropoietin receptor compared with epoetin.7
