Treatment with MIRCERA® has to be initiated under the supervision of a physicican experienced in the management of patients with renal impairment.1 However, in some cases, MICERA may be administered at home by a patient or caregiver following strict instructions. Our MIRCERA tutorial video
explains how to administer MIRCERA.
The solution can be administered subcutaneously (SC) or intravenously. MIRCERA can be injected SC in the abdomen, arm or thigh.
Hb level should be monitored every 2 weeks until stabilised and periodically thereafter.
Dosing and administration details for erythropoiesis-stimulating agent-naïve patients and for patients converting to MIRCERA from existing therapy can be viewed on separate pages of this section.
